WPHF Steering committee for the year 2022

Civil society organizations representing different geographical locations in Iraq have been approved and selected by the National Steering Committee (NSC) to implement projects focusing on 3 thematic areas (Conflict Prevention, Humanitarian response, and Forced Displacement) under the Women Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). The meeting was led by the Director-General of the Department of Women Empowerment at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Yusra Mohsen, and co-chaired with the Deputy Special Representative, Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator, Ghulam Mohammad Isaczai. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the government (Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Planning, Department of Women Empowerment), Austrian and Canadian embassies, and UN Agencies (UN Women & UNFPA).
