UN Women strengthens its partnership with the Women the Department of Women Empowerment

UN Women strengthened their partnership and coordination with the Department of Women Empowerment through a workshop launched in Erbil. The workshop focused on identifying the role of DWE in implementation and monitoring, establishing ownership for the 1325 NAP and unifying the concepts for the developed monitoring and evaluation framework. Discussions were made to prepare for the upcoming workshops that will support ministries and governorates in developing their sectorial plans.
This activity was supported through project “Advancing the Implementation of the Second Iraq National Plan on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on WPS” funded by the Swedish International development cooperation (SIDA).
