The Iraqi Women Journalists Form (IWJF) and UN-Women Iraq organized a symposium, as part of the "Violence is not Manliness" campaign, on the role of drama in preventing violence against women, where Al-Horoub TV show was presented as an example. Nibras Al-Mamouri, the chairwoman of IWHF shed light through her speech on the goals of the "Violence is not Manliness" campaign, released mid-May 2021, positive examples of the roles men can play in supporting women, and eliminating the negative cultures around masculinity through spreading positive messages calling for rejecting violence against women and understanding that manliness is not achieved through violence, but rather through supporting and protecting women. As Mamouri stated, the show was chosen to be a model for an Iraqi show that adopts the issue of violence against women, especially in conflict areas and what that entails, as well as men's role in limiting these violations. Assuring that drama has an important role to play in changing the stereotypes used against women in media. Enas Taleb, the lead actress in Al-Horoub, expressed her gratitude towards the active role IWJF and UN play in supporting women's issues, affirming that AL-Horoub sent many messages reflecting the bravery of Iraqi women and their positive role in supporting their male partners. Many governmental and non-governmental bodies participated in the symposium, as well as public figures in arts, culture, and academia.
