To enhance the efficiency of female teachers in monitoring and confronting violence and violent extremism through education, and to provide a safe environment for girls in the secondary school stage, Sawa Organization for Human Rights implemented 28 training workshops for female teachers in five governorates (Salah al-Din, Anbar, Muthanna, Basra, Karbala) with the participation of 568 schools. The participants emphasized that these workshops are the first of their kind, so schools and other governorates should be targeted. These activities come within the implementation of the second national plan for Resolution 1325 within the project funded by the Women's Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Action and with the support of UN Women.
