Her Voice Network and the Women's Empowerment Department in Babylon convened a joint meeting to promote women's participation in peace process

The Babylon Coordination of its Voice Network for Women Human Rights Defenders held an expanded meeting with the Women's Empowerment Department in Babylon Governorate, to discuss issues related to gender equality and women's participation in peace building process and the observations recorded by the working groups about the achievements of the Network in different regions of Babylon, which also covered women of different specialties.
In this regard, the governor's advisor for legal affairs, Khaled Al-Faihan, affirmed the governorate’s readiness, through the Women's Empowerment Department and in cooperation with the Babylon Coordination for its Voice Network, to implement activities that support women's issues, especially with regard to the health and economic side, which has a clear impact on the volume and quality of community participation and the important role played by the woman in promoting societal peace.
The meeting was closed with an agreement to hold an expanded symposium that deals with the health situation and mechanisms to improve this sector to ensure a safe healthy environment for women
Dr. Jaber al-Hamdani, director of performance evaluation in the governorate, Hussein al-Husseini, secretary of Babylon governor , Muhammad al-Awadi, director of the Babylon organizations office, Haydar Ibrahim, director of provincial media, Zainab al-Nu'mani, director of the Hein Al-Hayat Museum, and a group of female and male employees and employees in the governorate’s office participated in the meeting.
