Baghdad Women Association (BWA), our partners under project “Women’s Leadership, Empowerment, Access & Protection (LEAP)” funded by the government of Japan and supported by UNWomen has provided psychosocial and Legal Services to IDP's, Refugees and the Host Community. BWA implemented “Cash for Work” activities targeting 40 women and girl for two months through their legal and counselling centers in Ramadi / Anbar. Women were divided into groups including sewing, cooking, teaching, rehabilitation and COVID-19 awareness raising. Women were happy with the training and added that the activities implemented enabled them to meet new people and improve their income and living conditions.
