Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, called on the security services to cooperate with the Media and Communications Commission, the Iraqi Media Network and the Independent High Electoral Commission to control the sites and pages that offend the candidate woman and her presence in the next stage, and to impose all legal punishments against the mongers of lies and rumors, to preserve the democratic atmosphere for the participants in the elections, in particular the female candidates.

During the meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives 

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives met with the members of the Higher Committee supervising the participation of women in the upcoming Parliament elections (Dr. Ahlam Al-Jabri, Head of the Committee, Member of the Board of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Dr. Yousra Karim Al-Mashref, Director General of the Department of Women Empowerment, Dr. Marlin Aweish, Member of the Board of Trustees of Iraqi Media Network, Ava Faeq, Member of the Media and Communications Commission, Chairman of the Parliamentary Women's Committee, Maysoon Al-Saadi, and Dina Zorba, representative of the United Nations Women in Iraq, to discuss the committee's work plan for the next phase and its role in promoting women's political rights.

Al-Kaabi called for empowering and supporting women to participate in the upcoming elections in a manner commensurate with their presence and position in society, considering that caring for women at this stage is very important and contributes to encouraging participation in early elections, given that women represent more than 50% of Iraqi society. He stressed that the committee, in coordination with the House of Representatives, is about to launch a comprehensive strategic plan to support women in the upcoming elections and protect them from illegal acts that may be adversely reflected on their participation in the elections.
